No. WA Hero connects to WhatsApp the same way WhatsApp Web does. It's a fast way to automate messaging without going through Meta's official Business API approval process, but it means your number should follow normal WhatsApp usage rules to stay in good standing.
No, your phone doesn't need to stay online constantly, but it should connect to the internet at least once every couple of weeks — otherwise you'll need to reconnect by scanning the QR code again.
